Tung's Acupuncture and Herbs for Stress and Digestive Disorders

Digestive disorders and conditions related to stress are some of the most common complaints in the modern acupuncture clinic. Join Dr. Henry McCann, author of Practical Atlas of Tung's Acupuncture and Pricking the Vessels: Bloodletting Therapy in Chinese Medicine, as he shares his tried-and-true treatment strategies relating to both issues, and learn how to effectively apply them in clinical practice. His practical approach to acupuncture will help simplify the diagnostic process while simultaneously improving clinical outcomes with Tung’s acupuncture and herbal protocols. Participants will also learn an introduction to Morita therapy, a Japanese approach to psychology, that can help guide patient management in the clinic.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Understand the fundamental aspects of Tung’s acupuncture

  • Learn the clinical strategies and protocols for treatment of stress and the related conditions of mind-affect disorders

  • Learn the clinical strategies and protocols for treatment of digestive disorders

  • Understand the clinical applications of key Tung points for both stress related and digestive disorders

  • Understand the basic concepts of Morita therapy and its application for patient management
